I was born today some years ago...

This photo was taken before I left my previous company in Malaysia. Fayrene, my ex-supervisor cum colleague felt uneasy when I tried to give her my precious kiss....@_@ Anyway, we share the same birthday and it's amazing how many people out there actually actually have birthdays on the same day. OK, say me stupid but so far, my record is, there are 9 people whom I know have the same birthday as myself. That's cool.

So, how did I celebrate my birthday this year you asked? Only one word is enough to describe it - fab!!!!!. I went down to London to spend the weekend with few of my coolest friends (it was a pity Chloe wasn't there!!). Rose, the host (as she let me stay at her cute little flat), is the best host ever because she can really cook!!! Yeah, I'm such gluttony.

So the first nite I was there (the day BEFORE my birthday), we went to a chinese restaurant and had GOOD food. It will be a huge shame for Rose if people eat or cook lousy food. See how dedicated she is?!! Anyway, we had lobster, fish maw (is that what it's called?), roast duck, tofu...I only took photos of the first two dish as I was too occupied with my food once I got started. *sorry* Dude, if you guys come and visit me, I sure know how to bring you to good food with not-too-expensive places. ;)

THE DAY was spent in a karaoke session and a lot of dim sums. I know, I know, the mic was in my hands 90% of the time. Sorry man, I just can't help it when I get to sing for 4 hours straight!! I forgot my cam so didn't get to take lotsa photos. Here's the one taken by Liam.

Do I look more fleshy???

But, but, but, if you think that's the highlight of my day, you're so wrong. It was yet to come in the night!!! Rose and Sean decided to have steamboat that night and sorry for not surprising enough, it was still awesome!! Crabs, various fish balls, clams, pork slices (Rose sliced them one by one!!! She said only a very greedy person will take the time to prepare such food and I guess she's right.) We started around 8:30pm and I was the last one to finish, the clock was ticking at 11:30pm!!!!! Shocked? Don't be, you know how much I food I can eat sometimes. The downside is, plenty of food supply has made my face swollen after this trip. Maybe I should be thankful, at least I'm having good food, not some garbage. God, I love you :)

The day I was scheduled home, Rose cooked me my last meal (not trying to sound corny) but the crabs were really nice. Yum. My favourite. Despite the food, I missed my train because I misread my timetable. How did that happen???? I have no idea. My brother did once, hahahahaha....So I'll never laugh at whatever mistakes people make now. That's scary.

I hope you still try to come back to my blog and check if there's anything new. Sorry for the absence. Oh yeah, you guys should ask Henry to write about his first day at work. It's hilarious!!! Can you imagine yourself unable to relocate your table after getting back from the loo? Imagine again, you go around and ask, "Erm, excuse me, do you know where my seat is??" HAHAHAHA!!! Oops, I think I'm not supposed to laugh else I'll be cursed too. So, JUST ASK HENRY!!!!!!

Just a little extra treat for you.
This is my typical Sunday breakfast.
Yeap, for one. *wink*
And you ask me how I put on weight?

Who wants to be a millionaire???

Thanks to Jo that I have something to blog about :) Well, this is such a typical question that people would ask, and I did it in the first lesson with my English class (as stated in Clara's blog. Though I never really got myself to think about this. Perhaps, I find it too self-intimidating, as it's totally everything opposite of what I'm doing now.

First, I'd like to change the statement to "If I were a BILLIONAIRE". It's not hard to be a millionaire nowadays, is it? Plus the money goes pretty quickly when you are still over the moon about being a millionaire.

So, where would my money go? As any people will answer, QUIT MY JOB. Yes, that I would, sooner or later, but not until I finish building my kingdom....for babies and toddlers!!!!! hehehe, yes, I'm in love with these little angels (or evils to many of you out there). With all these workaholic parents, like myself in the future (or not), going off to scrap as much money as they could off somewhere, I'll scrap off theirs, WAHAHAHAHA~~ OK, what I'm saying is these kids need somewhere safe and fun to hang out. I'll make sure this kingdom of mine is free from evil and filled with God's love (don't laugh, I'm serious!!). After all, little children's hearts are the purest!! Ha, don't tell me, I know what you're thinking -_-||| Anyway, my kingdom isn't just another day care centre like what you've seen now. I'm gonna accommodate every single child, regardless of his or her ability or physical capability. And the only staff I want to employ will be someone with genuine love and the drive to be a better mentor for these kids. Geez, I get so hyper whenever I think of this dream of mine....

Then, the typical travelling around the world, investment and giving away money to family are all kinda predictable. Though I'll make sure I get the best services of all, since I have that money, hiak hiak hiak~

Last but not least, I want to save some of the money (not 10%!!) for future uses. Be it my child education or emergencies. I only feel safe when I have extra money in my bank account!!!!

Should I tag someone? But I think most of you out there have been tagged...oh yeah, I'll tag JL and Alice to contribute more on this topic~^_^~

A weekend to remember.

I know, I should have blogged ages ago but I was pre-occupied by settling in and all. Did I mention that my friends drove all the way from London just to visit me last weekend? Of course, the most important thing is to return my old stuff, hahaha....anyway.....

It's funny how I got to know Maddy, Bobby and Liam, and built such a strong bonding (can I say that? hehe). Our "relationship" is kinda complicated. The first time I knew about Maddy was ten years ago if my memory serves me right. I tagged along to my sister's uni friend's flat warming where Maddy just happened to be one of the flat-mates. That was our first "meeting", in New Zealand. Maddy, do you remember? Perhaps, I'm the one with better memory, eh? :P Nevertheless, we were only close after we met each other again in Sheffield three years ago. A very down-to-earth girl, and I simply enjoy her laughter and personality. My mum said she and I look alike!!! Is that supposed to be a compliment to Maddy or what? Sorry, Maddy, hope that statement hasn't offended you, :)

Perhaps you've already known about Liam. I wrote an entry about him not long ago. Well, he was my sister's first year uni course mate. I still remember going to his flat (where my sis' other friends were also staying at), preparing dumplings, cooking and eating them!! Even talked about how much fillings we needed to put in etc etc. Can you remember, Liam??????? I was very young, barely a sweet 16-year-old, hahahaha (OK, a FAT one I admit!). Same thing happened to our friendship. Liam and Maddy were together when I accidentally bumped into them in Sheffield. And no, you are not supposed to ask him anything about being a vegetarian!!!!!!! A friendly hint for y'all out there. Liam, don't kill me for saying this, yeah~

Bobby's the one I've known for the shortest time. We met at the church back in 2002 when I was working in Wellington. Weren't really close. Basically, I only know him better after I'm close to the first two. It's not good to be too close to someone's boyfriend mar, right? Bobby's got very unique...should I say habit?!?! He's got that distinctive laugh which cannot be imitated, not even me!

I'm just grateful that I have got good friends, whom I still keep in touch with. They're the kind of friends that you should have in your life so that it's complete! Yes, Rose (and Sean), while I'm saying this, I'm talking about you guys too!! Chloe, you definitely are, too!!!! Love you all~~~muah muah~

Prize giving day.

Selamat Hari Kebangsaan!!!! Happy Indepence Day to my mother country!!! So, to tag along with the celebration, I, too, have a prize to give away, i.e. you can read my blog without signing in!!!!! What a relief, isn't it? Sorry for the interruption back then. I just wanted to have monitoring on those nuisances.....

OK then, I hope you guys have a great day staying at home or do whatever you like. It's long weekend, man!!!

Photos?

I just realised that I was tagged by Jo ages ago on.....geez, I don't even know but I gather that it's something to do with the photos. Anyway, I'll post something up definitely. Let me see what I've got here.
My farewell with friends in London in 2005.

Stupid face before I had my long hair cut...do you miss it? I do in a way~~~~2007

cheng cheng cheng...short hair with my favourite nephew!! So cute!!! 2007

I like to kiss my nephew and niece regardless they want it or not. My theory is if you can get it for free and they don't refuse, why not? Check out the following photo!!!

That's Isabelle when she was only few months old. Perhaps she didn't want me to kiss her, hahaha. Taken in 2005

That's how grown up she is now. Before I left NZ for the UK 2007.

At last....

Hi everyone, it's been a while...guess what? I'm in Oundle now. I know, you have no idea whatsoever what OUNDLE is...let's just say it will be home for me for the next four months. I'm loving it!!!!! Great weather (surprisingly!) and nice house (didn't expect it so thanks to the Lord!).

My school is starting next week, very anxious about it needless to say, and I'm teaching Maths. Oh no, who knows how long that has been *cheeky* I will be posting more photos and videos up now that I'm so free. Hopefully it will be a great adventure for me and for those of you out there!!!! Boohoo, I love my life!!!

If you want to contact me, please feel free to pick up a pen or simply the phone beside you!

Hasta la vista, baby~

Insomnia...

It's one o'clock in the morning and I can't sleep. Something's wrong with me. For those who don't know, I'm flying off to the UK next Sunday. Time sure flies like lightning. I can only wish it would slow down a bit. You know, that reminds me of a Chinese song we sing at the church (literally translated as "Ask Time"). *sigh* You used to think why all lessons didn't end sooner enough when you were younger. Perhaps time started to get serious with you when you grew older, and until one day you realise that you can't catch up with it anymore, that's the sign for aging....or not?

While I am so excited to step my feet on British land, I am feeling sad on the other hand. Why? Because that means I'm leaving my family behind and living alone. That's right. Henry isn't going with me. It will be a test on both of us. Perhaps it isn't wise to most of you, but I still thank God that He gave Henry to me. I'm blessed to have such a husband, after all. (Though he's very annoying at times, hehehe..)

Guess what? Henry's snoring so loud beside me now. I feel like punching (yeah, it's not pinching, OK?) his face, wahahahahahhaa. He sure can sleep well, huh? hehehehe...shhh, don't tell him...but then he reads this blog, doesn't he? :P

14 August 2007

Happy Birthday, Liam!

Such a pity that I wasn't celebrating your birthday in London this time (or for the past 2X years :P). I will make sure I put a good photo of you in my blog in the future as I can't find any good ones that I have got here :P

Anyway, Liam's a great guy!!!! I just feel so proud of myself because I made such a wonderful friend. We can talk whatever things we like; we can go shopping together; we went travelling together (flying all the way across atlantic ocean, man!!), we can even sleep together!!!!!! OK, when I say "sleep", it means staying in the same room with the presence of others, OK? No misleading. Anyway, what I'm trying to say here is, Liam's a great friend and I'm sure Maddy, Bobby and others can vouch for this.

I'm so looking forward to meeting you guys again in London. I'm sure we'll have fabulous time together, just like the old times!!!!!

Liam, I love you!!!! OK, Maddy, Bobby, love you too!!! ^_^

p/s Don't worry, Liam, Henry knows about you, he won't kill you one, hehehehehe...

Happy Birthday to my dear boy~~

Well, it's not Henry's birthday, and it isn't my son's (I don't have one yet ok!!)...it's someone I got to know when I was working in Sibu. Perhaps I shouldn't say "boy" but "guy" since he's all grown up now. He may seem quiet but he's actually very talkative. Only that he doesn't talk to strangers or the people he doesn't know well. We got to talk about a lot of things - we seem to have many things in common...or do we? Speaking of which, we don't get to talk often nowadays. That's sad.

Anyways, I know he's finishing his course pretty soon and furthering studies in the short future. Here I'd like to wish him best of luck and God be with you!

06 August 2007

Are you my friend?

Since I got here, I've made some new friends and I'm happy to say that they are all genuine friends. Not to mention that I made genuine friends when I was working in Sibu as well. Yes, I'm talking about you, jam, monkey, jota, lai, fay, amy, lin, liz etc etc etc....Sorry if I didn't include you in the list, simply because it's so hard to complete the list. wahahahahaa~(I see my students as my friends too!)

Anyway, just because of this reason, I'd like to restrict this precious blog of mine to my friends only. I find some jerks popping by and leaving some silly comments, which may offend some of my friends here. So, please send me your email addresses if you want to continue to read my blog in the future. Spread the "news" around, thank you very very much~~

Last but not least, a big kiss for all of you~!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *MUAH*
